Green Smoothie Anyone?

I thought that I came across an amazing way to get vegies into my kids. I wasn't going to tell them what the ingredients were though. While we were at the store I mentioned something about smoothies, Jessica starting jumping up and down and asked if we were going to make green spinach smoothies. So obviously I'm not the only one making these. If you haven't tried them - they are great! If you have tried them - what's your favorite recipe or things to put in them.
Here's the one that two of my kids like - the third one doesn't like smoothies much anyway
1 cup spinach (I use baby spinach)
pineapple (fresh or in it's own juice)
banana
orange juice
enough water to keep it blending smooth
I put the spinach in and add a little water until it's blending well then add the rest of the ingredients. Blend until it is completely smooth.

You can't taste the spinach at all. If you can just add more fruit. I love the fact that there isn't any sugar in it and it's still sweet enough to enough. PLUS - there is a bunch of spinach in it. We have added frozen berries and the kids like that too - it also gets rid of the green color.

Ellie made something similar for her teach thing in Mrs. Gold's class. All the kids said Ewww when she put spinach in but they all came back for seconds.I love bluberries, strawberries, raspberries, spinach, and the Odwalla juice. I got that from my friend Jen. We used to add yogurt and milk but I cut out the dairy Ellie through in a zucchini in her last smoothie.
Ellie and Jess are two peas in a Pod. I hope they grow up loving cooking like us!
I love your idea for school lunch! I will have to try that. Amy..I need to start FLY lady again..I need a schedule so bad. Thank goodness Jake is off tomorrow, I told him I need to make some lists and get organized for the year.

I think it was motivated mom that I copied her schedule. It's more simplified than flylady and I put everything onto one week and just check it all off as I go. Back to school is my time to get everything going again.

Did you have to coax the kids to drink it. I am a little nervous to try it, but curious enough that I will. Thanks for the recipe.

who is this motivated mom lady? I am sure I need her help.

When mine is green I had to convince my kids to drink it. Even though Jessica had already had it before. Once I put berries in it - enough to turn it a purply color they didn't even think twice about drinking it. Just make sure there is enough fruit to cover up any spinach taste
