A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. The Glass Castle (new fave) Between a Rock and a Hard Place. Walk Two Moons. Girl With a Pearl Earring.
My favorite of the last year was The Glass Castle. I just finished the 13th Reality (kids' book but I loved it..it filled the void from Harry Potter), My favorite Dan Brown is Angels & Demons. Tree Grows in Brooklyn is on my list to still read!
Sister of My Heart by Chitra Divakaruni because it is about two girls in India who become close and the author writes beautifully. This book has so many enchanting quotes and words to live by.
The Glass Castle is also one of my faves, because its a true story of the author's life that wasn't easy but she doesn't write from a victims point of view. It's crazy what people's lives are like. Don't worry, she does not get molested either. I can't handle books like that.
Memoirs of a Geisha (way better than the movie), I couldn't put it down. There are a couple sections with the big "s", but I didn't think they were too bad and it mostly talks about the sacrifices these Japanese girls made. Very imformative yet interesting about japanese tradition.
